Communities that Care (CTC) addresses aggression, drug use and other problematic behavior in adolescents through systematic planning and marshaling of community resources. Certified trainers guide community members and leaders through a five-phased program seeking to help them reach their short and long-term goals. Key components include identifying and reducing risk factors; assessing available resources; gathering and analyzing community data; selecting and implementing interventions that promote protective factors; and creating an action plan with ongoing evaluation and clear and measurable outcomes.
