Full description:
The Multidimensional Treatment Foster Care (MTFC) program seeks to reduce problem behavior in children and adolescents in need of out-of-home placement. It also seeks to increase normal developmental and pro-social behaviors for youth. Participants come into the program from foster care, mental health facilities and the juvenile justice system and are placed with a foster family for six to twelve-months. The program includes behavioral training and support for foster parents, family therapy for biological parents and caregivers, skills training and school-based interventions and academic support for youth.
